The Star Wars saga introduced the world to the supreme commander Darth Vader, decked in a black space suit, cape and breathing mask. Darth Vader’s image alone emulates the evil oppressor that he was, but in the fashion world I think he would have fared a lot better. So watch out Lady Gaga and Karl Lagerfeld, we may have a new fashion icon on our hands!
Somewhere in a far, far off place Darth Vader took time off his promotional tour to select his top picks for this seasons haute couture looks…Which picks would you die for?

This Alexis Mabille selection is the perfect combination of class and sass. The black trench coat is sleek, and paired with an embroidered bustier it is a perfect combination for a night out on the stars with my cyborg pals. I find the cotton balls hanging off the shoes disturbing, but the look is an overall success.
When I first saw this Armani Prive gown I almost collapsed, I pulled my mask off because I wanted to see it with my own eyes. The extended fall of the fabric makes for a dramatic entrance. The pocket is perfect for my lightsaber and the leather clutch perfect for my lip gloss. The force is definitely strong with this one.
For Chanel I chose this two piece tuxedo dress and jacket set. It is quintessential Chanel and it reflects my taste in color. The elongated bow tie, jeweled bracelets and sagging boots accessorized the perfect classic Chanel look for the 21st century. I sensed that the rest of the collection was a bit pretentious and drifted too far from what I enjoy most about Chanel, BLACK! But this piece was exquisite.
Oh dear, this Dior gown was a perfect mesh of tulle, taffeta and organza. The lower layers reassembled a pleasant sunset absorbed by the darkness of the overflowing black fabric, it is a scene to behold. John Galliano definitely does not underestimate the power of the dark side.
This fiery red ensemble brought me back to the days when Valentino created my own red carpet attire. Elie Saab is making a bloody splash with these rich colors and flattering draping, it is no wonder Princess Leia is such a devoted customer. The seismic ruffle and extended shoulders are the perfect power statements, but always in a softer tone. This is a risky selection, considering my devotion to black, but Saab has me sold.
What can I say I love me some Givenchy, this Tisci creation is executed with exoticism and romance. I could see myself wearing this to a fall of the rebellion celebration, but probably leaving the heavy leather coat in the ship.
Finally I was torn with these two pieces, I could not choose one or the other, so I took them both and billed George Lucas. The softness of the fabrics, the color, the execution and the passion. Jean Paul Gaultier sure does know how to make a strong impression. The shadow like capes make for a perfect reintroduction of my original choice, which was a pest to work with. I would wear either of these to tell Luke that I am his father!
